For those of you foreign visitors to South Africa, do not be alarmed at just how small the airport is. You will however find car hire at Nelspruit airport easily and have a choice of cars, luxury vehicles and campers to hire.

When you first enter Nelspruit you will get the feeling of being here before, or maybe that time has not really touched this place. There are obviously new developments but it still retains that small town charm of a by-gone era. Farm vehicles bearing loads of tropical fruit rumble by, while barefooted children play rugby in a field, all lends itself to the feeling that you have landed in some African utopia.

You will also notice as you drive through the suburbs a large number of homes have either have caravans or motor boats parked in their front gardens. The more lucky ones have both and if you had to speak to the owners of these leisure vehicles you find out why this town is a gem in the Mapumalanga region. There are some many places to get away for the weekend or vacation at, in close proximity to the town. From lush green bush out of sight getaways to the borders of the Kruger Park this whole area is a outdoor persons dream.
